It's time for the much anticipated (for many reasons) Hatchling Master on April 27th!

For those who have been wondering what the heck this is, you will finally find out! Hatchling Master is an A&S competition geared toward people newer to the A&S process or who are trying a new skill out and want feedback. To this end, only people with fewer than 5 awards of a particular type can enter an item into that category. For example, someone with 6 Garbers and 1 Smith couldn't enter a tunic, but they could enter a battle game write up into the Smith category. The goal of Hatchling Master is to hone skills and to get a better understanding of the A&S process. Because of this, more feedback and constructive comments than normal will be given to entrants.

ENTRY ELIGIBILITY
• YOU MUST HAVE A WRITE-UP OF EACH ENTRY. The write up must include how many cultural awards you have received in the past; an approximate time to finish the entry; materials used; short summary of the process used to create; and you may include any notes about the item you feel may enhance it.

• Deadline to register is 1:00 pm. Regular registration and item Card turn-ins will be from 12:00PM to 12:30PM. You must have all your items registered and entry write-ups turned in by 1:00PM in order to be judged that day. Judging will begin at 1:01pm.

• No items that have been given awards or have been entered in a previous A&S competition may be entered.

• Vintners is not an available entry group as the sites are public parks.

• Limit of 3 entries per category. Only your best two entries in any given category will count towards your "overall" score.

• Cooking Entries – Bring all necessary serving utensils including plates and/or bowls.

• Written Entries – All entries, except publications, must be 5 pages or less. You must bring 5 copies of all written entries except publications, publications only require one copy.

• Bardic Entries – Please be considerate with the usage of your time.

SCORING SYSTEM
We will be using the more traditional 0-5 point scale. The Judges will be instructed that an absolutely average item should receive a score or 2.5. I will average the scores from the judges, and then subtract 3.0 from the final score. Any score that is less than zero at this point will be thrown out. We will then add up all of the scores from your entries. The largest total score will be the winner.

under "entry eligibility" you have cooking, but it's not in your "categories"... which one does it fall in?

Don't forget that Hatchling Master is tomorrow!

We will also be taking a moment to remember the wonderful life of Rogue.
