Shamus,

So the green lines are 4ft walls for audience viewing and the red lines are 6ft walls for participant 'blinding' correct?

Yes, the green lines are the low walls, and the brown lines are the high walls.

Sooo...Four foot tall walls on the X axis
of the plan, and 6 foot walls on the Y axis...

Any decision yet on projectiles over walls?

Will there be a center flag so teams have to move?

I think it's feasible, but potentially very brutal.
Assuming there's no gaps on the "north" or "south",
there's only one route, with choke points and lots of
cover for defenders/reinforcements thanks to tall walls.

There's also no line of sight from corner to corner,
so long range killing (projectiles, spells) gets curtailed.
Interesting.

Hmm. mirrors on sticks might be pretty useful.

As was pointed out to me by another, none of the perimeter walls are needed. Just demarkations for the boundaries. Would make it cheaper to build and easier to see/reeve.

Depending on the intent of the 4 foot walls, perhaps just single height bales of hay for the low walls would be even easier to run/reeve/see over.

thee external walls are planned to be raised ropes with marker tape along it

Shamus,

About the walls, so maybe making the 6'ers 4' and delineate the outside walls with field tape or sprayed markings?

Having open sides would ensure the mobility of reeves and teleporting players while providing even more ample viewing scopes for the attending audience.

Also, what is the distance between the choke points, meaning how wide are the choke points? 5', 10', 15'?

If the choke points are wide enough, I can see the useful implementation of a force wall or shield wall, but it would not be too cramped to ensure injuries due to highly competitive play.

I so understand that WBW is a high impact, almost no holds barred tourny, and I can see why field tapped walls or a one deep hay bale wall can cause issues, but keeping the walls at a 4' maximum would make for an entertaining 'paint-ballish' scenario with boffers.

Let us know!
