HEY! When did we lose Sir Morgan to the EH!?
I was checking the ORK and enjoying the awesomeness that is the updated knights/squire love connection project and was amiss to see Sir Morgan missing from the best park in the kingdom's roster! Now I'm plain ol' bummed.
Tell him we'll pay him double!

Oh I know you didn't intend anything negative .. it's just a very sensitive subject to crack a joke about in a public forum.
Sorry for calling you out about it .. but there are a lot of people upset about it on both sides of the issue, that's all. Don't want to see another fight pop up on here.

ES will pay triple.
Since we threadjacked this (wow that was fast) what are some solutions you guys are using at your park. And has anyone actually talked to the kids that had been playing to see how they feel and if they understand what all this means to them?

Actually i think we only have one or two under 14 and we just keep them in as pages and the one or two we do have are constants for fighter practice and i am glad to see them being optimistic till a soloution is hammered out but for the most part they ask to borrow swords etc. as needed and ditch amongst them each other when they have enough to do so if not it's MEAT SHIELD time nah we try as hard as possible to keep them in the game without them being in the game

Since I had to work Saturday morning, and I was close, I ended up out at MWG .. and had a pretty good time.
While waiting for a battlegame to get rolling, a lot of people were messing with a classless Warlord battle, and at Kenta's (I think) suggestion I ran over to the kids of the park and ran through the rules with them and reeved for them a bit while they held their own "Warlord" game off to the side. I also tried to give them a few points on fighting single sword (even though I'm no expert) and helped them get a "Block-Strike" practice session going amoungst themselves.
During the battlegame, we decided to "Escort the Hobbits" from Rivendell (One team raiders, one team escorts) and they had fun deciding which particular hobbit they were going to be. They were non-combatants (just mobile in-game items) but had fun running back and forth while the rest of us fought at a "safe distance." All in all, they were a bit disappointed at not being able to fight with us, but I think that the small aspect of still being included in an essential, but non-combat, role distracted them from their disappointment for at least the afternoon.
