Looking over the contract for Tanglewood, and couldn't help but notice a few things.
First thing, the costs and fees. The posted contract entitles the landowner to 50% of the Kingdom gross, assuming we don't increase from the $15 we charge now.
Yeah, literally 50%!!!
Further, the deposits are really ambiguous. It mentions taking pictures as proof, but frankly that still leaves the Kingdom such with a pretty nasty deposit.
Everyone knows that I am not from the EH. I wasn't around for the bouncing around we suffered from Elowi. When Tanglewood first happened, it was OURS. A place for the Kingdom to call home.
Reading that contract, it's no longer ours. It is taking advantage of our nostalgia. That's bad business. And, I hope people think carefully when the Althing happens.
Sincerely, Nettle

Just FYI. This was changed to a discussion item.

One of the primary issues with Tanglewood is the unacceptable behavior of the owner.
The owners of Atoka and Mexia treat us like customers; the owners of Tanglewood insult our participants and drive off attendees.
Any new lease agreement that gets me back on the land will include a clause that has specific legal and financial repercussions for inappropriate behavior. The next time McFadden gets angry because we didn't knight his wife and locks the bathroom? That ought to cost him a couple of grand. He gets drunk and wanders around site yelling at people that he owns the land and can kick them off? He gets the cops called on him and gets escorted off-site like any other drunk retard.
So the cost is one thing, but it's not the big thing.

I'm unable to open the proposed contract. Could someone copy/paste the text into the forum?

Atoka is $4 per person, per night. We also can rent the 2 pavilions. I am not certain, but I think they are $50 and $40 for the one near the road and then the one near the back of the camping area.

This is not a proposal to stop going anywhere else. This is the per event agreement. We can still use Atoka and Mexia aswell as TWF at the decision of the monarch. And as far as Bad attitude?? Plz this kingdom has many ppl known for bad attitude as in Brennon and myself as examples. And all of this has been discused with him and in the agreement he cannot kick anyone off with out legal recourse. He is now willing to do what it takes to get us back on the land.

Plz remember, this IS what the Kingdom asked for. A per event agreement that does not perm tie all our events there. This is NOT an agreement to return to TWF but for us to use it when we wish with the items handled that the kingdom asked for

As for what Brennon said, he has a point. Jack (at Boggy Depot) doesn't lock bathrooms, or threaten to remove land grants, if in game votes don't go his way. When the land owner uses his position as leverage to try to get his way in the game, we have a glaring conflict of interests. I would like to see that resolved in writing before I would want to return to TWF.

So, this is a per usage contract then? Not something added to the copora? That's a little easier to stomach. Still a financial ripoff, but that's up to whomever is in office. Thank you for the information, Falamar.

Forest... you are a friend... But BS! You have taken anything with McFadden or TWF as a personal afront since day one, you didnt like it in the beginning and you damn sure dont like it now, alot of people agree with me but prob wont say so, I take most things you say on this subject with a grain of salt.

Guys, it's a contract. If he wants paid, he can't have a drunken fit. It's that simple. The only whining that he can manage is the deposit. Besides, a smart and aware autocrat can prevent that from being absconded fairly easy.
