here is where to find directions or the address for Red Storm : http://www.amtgard-eh.com/park_redstorm.htmlI am not the GMR so I can not post the list of what tourneys there will be. You can reach Ghosttiger or I via phone if you get lost : 918-633-2597 We meet south of the pool area in the park ....if you go into the entrance where the basketball courts, tennis courts and baseball diamond are ...you need to turn around and get back to 7th ...take a left and go down to the next park entrance (another left) ...you can see the pool to your right as you enter the park. Due to budget cuts in the Tulsa park system ...there are no open bathrooms. We have plenty of fast food restaurants not too far from the park so you can use their rest rooms.

That is the way we have run them for years now Ice. Best 2 out of 3 per round, single elimination.

Hi! I'm back (sorry). So... no offense, but why is the essential 1st day of weaponmaster being held in another state? I understand that it's part of the EH, but the 6 hour drive (for D/FW) would require leaving by 5am to participate in both days - not to mention the return trip - and the Tulsa people are in for a similar treat on Sunday. I'm sure that I'm missing some crucial logic, but it seems this weaponmaster can only be won by good drivers, which is a departure from the previous method. Is this the way it's regularly done now?

Sorry for the delay in replying to you. Since EH is basically balanced between the number of parks up here in OK/AR and in the EH 'proper' ....Weaponmaster has been shared between the two regions for a while now. So it does require those that are serious about competing to travel that whole weekend. A lot of ppl from OK travel down to TX all the time for events.

It is an issue we have been looking at because it does cause a disparity between people who can make the drive, and those who can't.
My proposal to the next GMR is to run one day in OK and one in TX, but only count a competitors top 5 events towards points. Those who drive will still have a slight edge, but it will make it more equitable to those who can not.

That sounds like a good idea. I'd love to see Weaponmaster be talked about more to actually get more ppl interested in competing in it. Any ideas on how to make it a far more anticipated event?

I would say to take a look back at more successful events (not just Weapon Master) and find out why those events were so successful. Things like time of year, weather, pre event hype, facilities, location, prizes or other assorted stuff can make or break an event.
So think back to events and figure out why you attended and why they were exceptional in your opinion.
