The ragged wizard plodded along the twisted paths of Tanglewood, head held low, kicking every stone he saw. This task, he knew, was beyond him. Was Bumblebee attempting to get rid of his weakest martial combatant? Was he being forced to "prove himself worthy" to his allies? The woods were certainly not a safe place, much less so for a lone traveler. Marvin's eyes darted back and forth through the treeline, acknowledging the inevitable ambush that befell him. Gritting his teeth, he prepared to issue the challenge. Kicking up a cloud of dust, slamming his spear on the ground, and cocking his head high, he shouted:

" DO YOU REEEALLLY NEED THAT GRYPHON'S TALON, BUMBLEBEE?!?!"

Marvin's eyes darted again to every direction. Silence. The calm before the storm. Giant beads of sweat rolled down Marvin's brow. His spear and pointed leather hat were both held limp, displaying the mark of an easily defeated enemy. Muttering something to himself about fate, he plodded onward. His tomes told of the Gryphon's nest here- Bumblebee had assured Marvin it would be an easy operation. Once the claw was extracted, Marvin could use his magics to enhance the power of the Bees' spears. But that was all assuming it would be that simple. Marvin knew this was a suicide mission- his skill as a wizard was still weak, and his skill as a spearman was weaker still. Bumblebee seemed to disagree, and here he was.

"Stand up for yourself for once in your miserable...", Marvin's thought was interrupted.

A tremendous iron axe shot out of the forest at blinding speed, catching Marvin's spear. Marvin watched helplessly as the axe carried it to a tree on the side of the path. Marvin ran towards it and tugged at the axe and the spear, now both embedded in the tree. "No good. Its stuck", he thought. His thoughts were cut short by the titanic shadow that loomed over him. Slowly and nervously turning around, he saw the great beast that stood before him. It was a troll, twice Marvin's height, and twenty times as muscular. Weilding an axe that was just as big as Marvin, and a belt neatly decorated with the skulls of dozens of defeated foes, the troll lowered its head. Spreading its tusked mouth in what appeared to be a smile, the troll exhaled a sound that filled all of Tanglewood with a bone-chilling terror. Marvin smiled as he grew to accept his fate. Face covered in spittle, he gave his response.

"Qer tura vexijen, Har Na! SHOVE!"

The troll sailed back into the treeline, leveling the foliage in its wake. Enraged and roaring, the troll got back on its feet and leaped in the air, axe prepared for Marvin. Marvin was prepared as well, as a streak of lightning ejected from the apprentice's fingertips. But his aim was thrown by the speed of the beast that barreled towards him, the spell flew harmlessly away. Quickly drawing his dagger, Marvin raised it high to meet the mighty blow that approached.

Impact.

The strike not only seemed to disintegrate the dagger, but it sent Marvin spinning on the dirt, kicking up a cloud with his body. Bruised and bloodied, Marvin lifted his head up off the ground and smiled as he saw the troll lift up the axe and prepare the final blow.

"I don't want to die here. If only someone had sent me more help. Haha. Hahaha."

(OOC: someone want to help against this troll?)
